Why’s the narrator calling it “her” & “she” when it’s a “Big Boy”? 😏 Anyway, it’s an amazing piece of machinery.

It would be nice if the fireman knew had to properly stoke the boiler, big, huge clouds of black smoke are wasting fuel!

It may not be accurate to the past on 618 and it may not fit her, but I love hearing the southern bootleg on 618 again. My 2 favorite types of whistles are Longbell 3 chimes and hooter whistles so it’s no surprise. But if I had to choose what whistle does fit her the best, it would be her Star Brass 5 chime. Love seeing the D&S as well, it’s such an amazing classic. The best part about steam is when you go and see it when or if it snows. I just love the snow, it just looks beautiful despite the challenges it makes us face. Also I think I had the Durango and Silverton part on my dvd but not the 618 part.

You know, I’ve seen both 3985 and 844 in person, same as 4449 and 3751…but this engine for some reason, takes the cake. It has never been retired, and you can see why. It’s just one hell of a puller! Forever thankful to the UP for keeping her in the active roster!!👏👏👏👏

Im absolutely obsessed with steam engines. Have been all my life. The Big Boy has to be thr most gorgeous engine model ive ever seen. What I woulsnt give to be able to operate her.
